Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Tick Up?
Tick Up is a New Zealand-based ticketing platform that sells tickets directly to events organised by Tick Up or our trusted partners. We focus on keeping the ticket-buying process fair, fast, and easy.
2. Can I sell tickets on Tick Up?
No — only Tick Up and our affiliated event organisers can sell tickets on our platform. We do not allow public listings or third-party sales.
3. How will I receive my ticket?
Tickets are emailed to you as a PDF after purchase. You can either print your ticket or show it on your phone at the event.
Didn’t get your ticket?
Check your spam or junk folder. If it’s still missing 48 hours before the event, email us at support@tickup.co.nz.
4. Are ticket purchases refundable?
All sales are final unless a refund is required under New Zealand consumer law. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or mistaken purchases.
5. What happens if an event is cancelled or changed?
If an event is cancelled, you’ll receive a refund for the ticket price (excluding booking fees), issued to your original payment method.
If an event is rescheduled, your ticket will typically remain valid for the new date. We’ll notify you by email with the details.
6. Can I resell my ticket?
No. Reselling tickets for more than their original price or listing them on third-party platforms (like Viagogo or Facebook Marketplace) is prohibited.
Tickets resold in breach of our policy may be cancelled without refund, and entry could be denied.
7. Are there limits on how many tickets I can buy?
Some events may have purchase limits to ensure fair access.
8. Are prices in NZD and inclusive of GST?
Yes. All ticket prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST, unless stated otherwise.
Prices may vary based on demand or promotional offers.
9. What should I bring to the event?
You’ll need:
-
A valid ticket (PDF on your phone or printed)
-
A valid photo ID (NZ driver’s licence, passport, or Kiwi Access card)
Some events may have age restrictions or specific entry conditions — please check event details before purchasing.
10. Is Tick Up responsible for event changes or technical issues?
We do our best to ensure accurate event info and smooth ticket delivery, but we can’t guarantee against:
-
Event changes, postponements, or cancellations
-
Delays caused by email filters or technical issues
-
Venue or performer-related disruptions
Your consumer rights under NZ law (Consumer Guarantees Act & Fair Trading Act) are still protected.
